Salesforce

Connect can integrate with these Salesforce features:

  • Search for Salesforce Contacts
  • Caller ID for Contacts
  • Automatic opening of CRM URL for Contacts (screen popping)
  • Event logging for calls against Contacts

Requirements

To ensure caller ID can function as expected, you will need to make sure your Salesforce phone numbers are stored in a consistent format. This can either be E164 or national. This can be configured in the Connect Settings menu.

Connecting Salesforce

  1. Navigate to https://connect.cosoft.co.uk/

  2. Click "Apps"

  1. Click "Connect Salesforce"

  1. Click "Allow".

Searching for Salesforce contacts

  1. Click the "Search or dial..." field.

  1. Enter your search query

  2. Your Salesforce contacts will be displayed

Caller ID

  1. Incoming call popups will display the name of the matched contact

CRM screen popping

To enable screen popping:

  1. Click "Settings".

  1. Click "CRM Settings"

  1. Select "Yes" under "Automatically open CRM records when calls are answered"

  1. When receiving a call alert, click here to answer

  1. Your Salesforce contact record will open in a new browser tab

Accessing Event Details in Salesforce

Calls will be logged as Events in Salesforce. To view these:

  1. In Salesforce, click "Contacts"

  1. Select a contact

  1. On the right side panel, click "Activity"

  1. Calls will be listed here
