Using WhatsApp

Once WhatsApp is set up, messages sent to your business number appear in the Connect inbox alongside your other conversations.

The 24-hour reply window

You can only reply to someone who has messaged you within the last 24 hours. This is WhatsApp's rule, not a Connect limitation, and there's no way round it from inside Connect. If the window has closed, the person needs to message you again before you can respond.

Sending and receiving images and files

Any file type WhatsApp supports will work, including images, videos and PDFs.

• To send a file, click the paperclip icon below the reply field and pick the file.
• Images you receive appear in the conversation, and you can click one to see it full size. Other files show as attachments, and open or download when you click them.

WhatsApp only keeps images and files for 30 days. After that they're gone and Connect can't retrieve them. Download anything you might need later.
